Science classes in the 6th, 7th and 8th grades are participating in a Science Fair this year. Learning about a hypothesis (your guess at what will happen), and then finding out if this really happens during your experiment, is interesting to both the student - and their classmates as these pictures show.
All Science Fair posters will be presented in the next few weeks, and be available for "viewing". For some students, however, they chose to also show their projects to their classmates! (on a voluntary basis)
Some of the classroom presentations are pictured here:
Sebastian's live demonstation showed how electicity can be used to conduct electricity - a light when on each time he was successful!

Air pressure was explored by Jamar - here he is shown explaining the device he made to create variable air pressure for testing the result on a plastic bottle. His color graphs and charts do an excellent job of visually showing the relationship.
Michelle showed time-line pictures of a strawberry aging! (which an explanation as to why) And then, to bring her presentation to an exciting ending, she showed a pciture of what looked to be a giant, mutated strawberry!
Ernesto experimented with the different materials that electricity could flow through. He tested materials both that would conduct, and wouldn't!
Marcus surprised his classmates with the relationship between the noise, the mouth, and taste: he had classmates demonstrate that by holding their noses, they couldn't tell the taste of the food they were eating!
