What are you giving up for Lent?

The 6th Grade Religion class brainstormed this question, and made a collection of posters showing what each student would be "giving up" for Lent.  The students sit in groups of 3 or 4, and each group table has chosen a Saint's name to be called by.

The Lenten Season pamphlets, which were provided by Rev. T. Mitchell, were used as the tool for linking the church's meaning and description of the season with the students' experiences.  The "Lenten Offerings" containers were handed out, for the purpose of supporting our friends in Haiti:
